Hello, I’m Nikos,
a User Experience & Design strategist

I’m currently leading the 14-person-strong UX team at Eurobank, which consists of 6 UX researchers, 7 UX designers, 1 UX copywriter and 1 UX Ops Manager. Moreover, I casually engage in other projects that interest me - mostly in the retail and the SaaS realms.

When I design a new experience, my efforts are guided by the following four principles:

  1. Craft experiences for people

    Design for people. They're not using it wrong.
    Take people the way they are, not the way you want them to be. 
    Perform research activities to focus on what customers need.

  2. Find the root causes

    Never solve the problem you're asked to solve.
    Keep asking why until you find the root causes.
    If you solve the symptoms, the problem will come back.

  3. Everything is a system

    You could solve a real issue, but you could make the system worse. Making changes can have various implications in other places.

  4. Prototype, test, refine

    Prototype and test with real users, repetitively.
    Refine what you are doing based on observations.
    The perfect design right now, isn't perfect in a year.
